Deasy works at the Jakarta Maritime Museum and has a background in archaeology. In her role at Jakarta Maritime Museum, Deasy has been involved in the development of several exhibitions. One of the recent projects she developed with her colleagues was a learning room to commemorate the fire that impacted the museum in 2018 and destroyed a number of historic buildings and objects. Deasy previously worked in the Directorate of Cultural Conservation and Museum Preservation, where she worked on the registration of nationally significant cultural heritage.
