Hafni has extensive museum experience at home and abroad, including representing Indonesian curators at the International Training Program for the British Museum and Australia Awards Fellowship (AAF), as well as being a speaker at several international seminars on the topic of disaster museums. Hafni is currently involved in a number of projects, including researching the oral history of tsunami survivors, preparing digital applications for exhibition spaces, revitalising the museum building, designing museum programs, and conducting studies on the Tsunami Museum Aceh management models.
